Basaya Beach Hotel & Resort is a reasonably priced beachfront resort in central Pattaya. Dogs and cats of all sizes are accepted in its pet-friendly Thai and pool villas, with a dog pool on site.

Dogs and cats of all sizes are accepted with advance notice, but only in the designated ground-level pet-friendly Thai Villas and Pool Villas, not in the standard hotel rooms.

The pet fee depends on weight: about THB 500 per pet per night for dogs under 10 kg, about THB 1,000 for 11–20 kg and about THB 1,500 above 20 kg. Special packages may include up to two small dogs free, so confirm when booking. The resort has a dog swimming pool and a grassy exercise area, and offers hair dryers, pet towels and waste bags.

Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.

Basaya Beach Hotel & Resort (บาศญ่า บีช โฮเทล แอนด์ รีสอร์ท) is a classic three-star Pattaya resort set in mature tropical gardens, directly across the road from the beach.

It has 148 rooms, from Standard and Deluxe rooms with pool or city views to private Thai-style garden villas and private pool villas.

Facilities include a 25-metre outdoor pool, a children's pool, a pet pool, a Thai massage parlour, a badminton court and a beauty salon. The open-air Cen Café serves American and Asian breakfast buffets, Le Bassye' Coffee-Shop and Restaurant serves Thai and international dishes, and there is a poolside bar. Free self-parking is available on site.

Neighbourhood

The resort is in central Pattaya, directly across the road from the beach, with shopping, dining and the night bazaar within walking distance.

Pattaya Beach (across the street): a 1–2 minute walk.
Central Festival Pattaya Beach (about 300–400 m): a large shopping mall.
Pattaya Night Bazaar (about 600 m): a night market.
Walking Street (about 1.6–1.9 km): about 3 minutes by car or baht bus.
Art in Paradise and Teddy Bear Museum (about 1.7–2 km north): family attractions.

Getting there

By car from Bangkok, take Highway 7 or Route 34 (Bang Na–Trat Expressway) towards Pattaya, a drive of about 1.5 to 2 hours. From Sukhumvit Road (Route 3), turn right onto Central Pattaya Road towards the sea, then left onto Pattaya Beach Road; the resort entrance is on the left between Soi 7 and Soi 8.

By bus, take a bus from Ekkamai or Mo Chit to the Pattaya bus terminal, then a songthaew or taxi to the resort on Beach Road.
