Questions for the vet before Kao's surgery

Kao is going to have her spay surgery next Tuesday at a clinic in Maenam and I wanted to write down my questions, because at the first consult I forgot half of them and I felt stupid. I asked: what anaesthesia do you use, is there a blood test before, who is on duty that night, and can I pick her up the same day. The vet said they do a quick blood test for everyone over 5 years, which is Kao's age, so that was good to know. I also asked about the cone. She has to wear it for 10 days and I was afraid she would not eat. The vet suggested a soft one and to keep her food low so she is not too hungry. I think that was a very good tip. Please ask your vet what to watch after surgery, when to call them and what is normal. Do not just trust the leaflet. Everything I wrote here is from my experience, not medical advice.
