Som O and the diet

Som O has been gaining weight since we moved to Bang Khen and I think it is the walks. We walk less in the condo than we did in our old house. He is a Pomeranian, so he is small, but at 4.5 kg he is definitely a little round now. The vet told me to cut his treats and reduce his dinner by about a quarter. I started weighing the food on a kitchen scale because I was guessing before, and clearly I was guessing wrong. I also stopped giving him the leftover rice with pork fat, even though he begged every single night. He sulked for two days, then forgot about it. We walk around the soi twice a day now, one long one in the morning and a short one after dinner. Som O hates the heat so we go before 7am. The dog park in Bang Khen is closed on Mondays so I try to remember that. The biggest change was when I stopped leaving dry food in the bowl all day. Now he gets measured meals and he waits for them. I am not sure he has lost weight yet, the next check is in March.

บ้านอยู่ซอยไหนคะ แถวบางเขนมีที่ไหนให้หมาเดินเล่นบ้างไหม ชอปเปอร์เราก็อ้วนขึ้นหลังย้ายเหมือนกัน

My cat Nam Tan also get fat after we move to condo, same same. Now I cut food with small cup but he cry so loud every night, I cannot sleep. Still trying lol

@Nicha Sirichai honestly the crying only lasts a few days, then they adjust. Hang in there, maybe try a puzzle feeder so he eats slower
