Songkran in our Rangsit neighbourhood means water fights from every balcony, and that is a nightmare for Kai Tun, our three-and-a-half-year-old Maine Coon. He hates getting wet, so the first thing we did was close all the windows and keep him inside the bedroom with the fan on.
He still managed to sneak out whenever someone opened the front door. A water bomb landed right by the gate and he shot back inside so fast he almost took the door off its hinges.
Next year we are planning to set up a quiet room with a cat tree and his favourite blanket before the holiday. He is a big fluffy boy, but he is also a bit of a worrier, so a calm space helps a lot.
Bean has a first aid kit that is mostly for me, to be honest. He is nine and the only thing he really hurts himself on is his pride when he falls off the bed.

ตอนปิดหน้าต่างแบบนี้ ห้องนอนมีแอร์ไหมคะ หรือใช้พัดลมแทน

We had the exact same problem with our cat during Songkran. Closing the windows and keeping the bedroom quiet helped us a lot too.

We also had to close the windows for Songkran, our cat screams at the sound of water. Good luck with the fan trick.

Kai Tun is lucky to have such a careful family. Maine Coons usually calm down after a while.

ผมว่าแมวเมนคูนแบบนี้อย่าปิดห้องนานไปนะครับ ต้องให้อากาศถ่ายเทด้วย เดี๋ยวจะเครียดอีก
