Mimi got fat, diet time

Mimi is 2 and a half and somehow she is now 6 kg. Last check up the vet look at me and say it is too much. I thought she is just big boned, but no. We have to change food and reduce the treats. She is not happy about this at all, she keep meowing at the fridge like a little prisoner. I bought the diet food from the pet shop near Pak Kret market. It is very expensive, but my mom says cheap food is more expensive in the end. Mimi eats it slowly, then she sit in front of the bowl like she is waiting for the real food to come. We also play with the laser pointer for 10 minutes every night. She run and jump and then falls asleep after, which I think is good. The vet says her weight should go down slowly, maybe 300 grams per month, so we are being patient. Sometimes I feel bad when she looks at me with those eyes. But the vet said it is for her health so I am strong. Next check up is in 2 months, I will update the weight then.
