Oscar first week in the new flat

Oscar came to us from a shelter in Nonthaburi last Tuesday. He weighs 3 kg and he is basically a fox with a dog body. First night he did not sleep at all. He walked around the flat, looked under the bed, then sat next to the door and waited. I thought he was waiting for someone. Maybe he was waiting for his old home. Second day he discovered the balcony and the view over the river lane. Pomeranians bark at everything and he barks at pigeons, at the air conditioner, at the rice cooker. The neighbour on the floor below sent a polite message on LINE. My wife says we will buy a small rug for the hallway so the sound is less. Fine. Food: he eats the Thai dry food from the big brand in the shop by the BTS, but he refused the new brand at first. I mixed it for 5 days, now he eats both and is happy. Hair everywhere. It is hot season so I cut his hair short last weekend. Now he looks like a small lion who lost a fight. Walks are early morning before the heat and after 6 pm. Thai dogs walk slowly here, Oscar walks very fast, like he has somewhere important to be. People in the soi smile when he runs past. He sleeps in the crook of my knee. I do not complain. The first week is done and I am glad we took him.
