Pound and the new baby

Baby girl came home last month and Pound was so nervous. She is 10 years old and she has never been around a baby before, we had to change the whole living room. She sits by the crib and watches all night, like a guard dog who is sleeping on the job. The first week was crazy. Pound barked at the baby monitor every time it made a sound. I got angry, then I realized she is just scared of the new smell. I gave her a t-shirt from the baby room so she can smell it all day, and now she sleep much better. She is not a fan of the crying though. My husband is also tired. We are all tired. But Pound is part of the family and she always was, so we just needed time. She licks the baby's feet when she is sleeping, and I am so happy with that.
