crate training an old dog

People always say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but Marshmallow learned to settle in his crate at eight years old. We started by leaving the door open with dinner inside. Then we shut it for a few minutes while we stayed in the room. Slow and boring, that is the key. He sleeps in there now when we go out and honestly he looks happier there. Good with thunderstorms too, which is a big deal in Chiang Mai.
