We have Tuktuk (exotic, very fat, lazy) and Milo who is the boss. Since Milo got kidney issues we are thinking to adopt a young cat from a cat shelter in Khlong Luang so Milo has someone to hang out with? Tuktuk might not like it. Our condo says no more than 2 cats is ok but we are at 2 already.
We rescued our Bangkaew from a shelter in Pathum Thani and honestly the dog side was easier than cat, lol. For cats, introduce slowly with separate rooms for about 2 weeks. Swap blankets and let them smell each other under the door. Tuktuk probaly gonna hiss a few days but thats normal. Maybe get a younger one, under 2 yr, it will be easier.
Late to this. For Milo's kidney thing, check with the vet about diet first before adding a new cat. A friend got a kitten and it made stress worse for the old cat. But if your cats are chill, go for it.
