Ramen and his park buddy

Every evening around 5 Ramen goes to the park near Wang Thonglang and waits by the bench for his friend Tong, a big golden retriever who lives 2 soi away. They have been friends for about 1 year. Nobody told them to be friends, they just do.

Tong is 4 years old and he is very polite. He smells Ramen first, then he touches his nose on Ramen's back and they run circles around the big tree for 10 minutes. Ramen is a poodle and he is a little bit faster, but Tong is stronger so they always end up in the grass.

The owners sit on the bench and talk. Tong's owner is my neighbour, an uncle who takes the dog out every day after dinner. He always brings a ball and a plastic bowl of water for everyone, which is very nice. Last time it rained and Ramen did not want to leave the park, he sat in the middle of the grass and refused to walk.

Sometimes Ramen is tired and he just lies down next to Tong, and Tong keeps still so Ramen can sleep. It is very cute. I was thinking about getting a second dog but I think Ramen already has his best friend, so it is fine.

If you live in Wang Thonglang, the park by the water is quite quiet after 6pm, good for small dogs too.
