Fah is a small pug who would rather nap than walk, but last Saturday we took her to a waterfall near Khao Yai because the weather was cool and the crowds were light. At first she was painfully slow, stopping to sniff every tree, and we spent more time waiting for her than walking.
When we reached the wet stone slope, she got nervous and slipped, so I carried her for a few stretches. She sulked but never struggled. Once we got to the waterfall, she ran straight into the shallow pool, shaking with joy, and drank and splashed until we had to dry her off with a towel.
She was asleep before we even reached the bottom of the mountain on the drive home. We're already planning another trip next month, though this time we'll pick a shorter path.
