Tiger is a Siberian Husky and she sheds like crazy, so grooming is not optional for us. We went through a few places before finding one we are happy with, and here is what I would look for now.
First, ask how often they will brush the undercoat. A husky needs the undercoat out, and a bath alone does not do that. The place we use now brushes her for 30 minutes before the bath, and that made a huge difference in the house.
Second, check the dryer. Huskies overheat fast and if they blow dry too hot or leave her wet near the ears, you will see it later as an infection. Our groomer uses a low setting and checks the ears every time.
Third, the price. Most places charge more by weight and coat type, which is normal. Be careful with the cheapest options because often they rush the job and skip the brushing.
Tiger does not enjoy any of it but she is calm at the end. Let the groomer know early if your dog has any problem with the table or the noise, they can work with that.
Pikachu is our Thai Ridgeback, 6 years old, and mosquito season in Khlong San is brutal. We live near the canal so every evening he comes back with bites on his ears.
Nong very scared of the fireworks last night, the neighbour boy is doing it since 8pm. He hide under the bed and dont come out even for food. Rusty is fine, she just sleep on my feet like no...
