Ibis Bangkok Siam is a reasonably priced hotel on Rama I Road beside National Stadium BTS station. It accepts small dogs up to 10 kg, one per room, with no pet fee, if notified in advance.

Small dogs are welcome with prior notification. The weight limit is 10 kg per pet, with a maximum of 1 pet per room, and there is no pet fee. A standard refundable room deposit is collected at check-in. Sources disagree on cats and on the size limit, so confirm with the hotel if you travel with a cat or a larger dog.

Notify the hotel before arrival so that a suitable room can be allocated. Pets must not be left alone in the room and must be kept in a carrier or on a leash in common areas. There is no dedicated pet park or relief area, so walks take place on nearby streets.

Some booking sites list the property as not allowing pets, apparently confusing it with the separate ibis Bangkok Siam Ratchathewi, so confirm with the hotel before booking.

Description

Ibis Bangkok Siam (ไอบิส กรุงเทพ สยาม) is a three-star economy hotel by Accor. It shares a 29-storey high-rise with the upscale Mercure Bangkok Siam, and the ibis occupies the lower guest floors with practical, minimalist accommodation.

The 189 air-conditioned rooms are Standard Double and Standard Twin layouts of about 18–19 m². Rooms have an LCD flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, a tea and coffee maker, an in-room safe, a work desk and a private bathroom with a walk-in rainfall shower.

The ground-floor lobby has a 24-hour reception and a 7-Eleven convenience store. Guests can eat at The Eight Restaurant, which serves an international and Asian breakfast buffet, and use the lobby bar and lounge. A fitness room and rooftop swimming pool are on the Mercure side; pool access may depend on the room package or carry a supplement.

Neighbourhood

The hotel is in a busy urban core of shopping malls, art spaces, universities and transit links, with food from street stalls to fine dining. Most places below are within walking distance.

Getting there

The address is 927 Rama I Road, Wang Mai, Pathum Wan, Bangkok. The nearest station is National Stadium on the BTS Silom Line, right beside the hotel; the entrance is at Exit 1, reached by the footbridge or stairs. It is one stop from the Siam interchange.

From Suvarnabhumi Airport (about 30 km), take the Airport Rail Link to Phaya Thai, change to the BTS Sukhumvit Line to Siam, then ride one stop on the Silom Line to National Stadium. A taxi or ride-hailing car takes about 35–50 minutes via the Sirat Expressway, depending on traffic. From Don Mueang Airport (about 25 km) a taxi takes roughly 30–45 minutes via the Don Mueang Tollway and expressway.

Free multi-level self-parking is available for registered guests inside the building on floors 2–5, with accessible bays and EV charging.
