Privacy policy

• Your account: name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and the language you use.
• Sign in with Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook or TikTok: the identifier that service gives us for your account, your name, your email address when the service shares it, and your profile picture address. We never see or store your password for those services.
• What you add: your profile (username, city, postal code, tagline, bio, photos), your pets, stories, comments, questions and answers, lost & found posts, events, marketplace listings, messages with other members, reviews and favourites.
• Contact form: your name, email, message and, if you choose, your pet type and breed.
• Location: only when you tap “Use my current location” or allow it in your browser. Your position is kept in your browser and sent to us to show nearby places and driving times; we do not keep a history of where you have been.
• Technical data: your IP address and basic request logs (kept for security and abuse prevention), and the cookies described below.

• To run your account and sign you in (contract).
• To show the places, events and community content you ask for, including distances from you (contract).
• To publish what you choose to share with the community, and deliver your messages (contract).
• To answer you, send the emails you request (password reset, event reminders) and keep the service secure (legitimate interest).
• To translate community posts into the site’s nine languages so other members can read them (legitimate interest).

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with services that help us run Wagdee:

• our hosting and email providers;
• Google (Gemini) to translate community content, and Google Maps data about places;
• OpenStreetMap services (map tiles, addresses, driving distances), which receive map positions but not your identity;
• the sign-in service you choose (Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, TikTok), under its own privacy policy.

Some of these providers process data outside Thailand; we only use providers with appropriate safeguards. Content you publish (profile, posts, listings, reviews) is visible to other visitors.

• a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in on wagdee.com, my.wagdee.com and su.wagdee.com;
• your language and display preferences (light / dark, map style, list or map view);
• a short-lived security cookie while you sign in with another service.

We keep your account data while your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except what we must keep by law. Contact-form messages are kept for up to two years.

Under the PDPA you can ask to access, correct, or receive a copy of your data, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@wagdee.com; we answer within 30 days. You may also complain to Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee.

Wagdee is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and access to personal data is limited to the people who need it to run Wagdee.

To delete your Wagdee account and the personal data linked to it — including data we received when you signed in with Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook or TikTok:

• sign in at my.wagdee.com → Settings and use Delete my account — it takes effect immediately; or
• email hello@wagdee.com with the subject “Delete my account”, from the email address of your account (or tell us the service you signed in with and your Wagdee name); we confirm and delete your account within 30 days.

Your profile, pets, stories, listings, lost & found posts, favourites and sign-in connections are removed. Answers, comments and messages you sent to other members stay so their conversations still make sense, but they are shown as from a deleted member and no longer linked to you.

You can also remove Wagdee’s access at any time in the security settings of the service you signed in with.
