The pet fee is THB 2,500 per pet per night, plus service charge and tax, which comes to about THB 2,942.50 in total. Certified service animals are exempt from the fee.

A single pet generally must not exceed 14–15 kg. For two pets, the combined weight is capped at 35 kg, so each should weigh no more than 17.5 kg. The maximum is two pets per room, dogs or cats only.

Pets are accepted only in dedicated units: the Classic Garden View Room (King Classic Garden) and selected Heritage Railcar One Bedroom Suites. Only around six pet-friendly rooms are available each day, so advance booking is required.

Guests can use the fenced, off-leash dog run, marked dog paths, garden trails and the lakeside walkways around Swan Lake. Outside the room and the dog run, pets must be on a leash or in a carrier.

Pets may sit at outdoor dining tables at Somying's Kitchen, Tea Carriage and Poirot, which have a dedicated pet menu.

Each room comes with a pet bed, food and water bowls, waste bags and starter toys and treats.

Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.

Description

InterContinental Khao Yai Resort is a concept property designed by the landscape architect and designer Bill Bensley. It is set among 100 acres of forested grounds and lakes, centred on Swan Lake.

The resort draws its inspiration from Thailand's golden railway era under King Rama V. Dozens of upcycled, authentic 19th- and early 20th-century train carriages have been turned into luxury suites, standalone pool villas, the Tea Carriage high-tea salon, the Poirot French restaurant, the Papillon Bar cocktail lounge and the Back on Track Spa.

Standard rooms are in traditional wings facing the gardens and lakes. The resort has been recognised with One MICHELIN Key for its design and hospitality.

Neighbourhood

The resort is in a quiet countryside setting of rolling mountains, lush foliage, organic farmland and freshwater lakes.

Famous landmarks nearby:

  • Khao Yai National Park (about 4–5 km, 20–30 minutes by car from the park entrance): a UNESCO World Heritage site known for waterfalls and wildlife trails.
  • Toscana Valley (about 3 km): an Italian-inspired development with golf courses, towers and dining.
  • GranMonte Vineyard and PB Valley Khao Yai Winery: wineries within easy driving distance.
  • Wat Chai Mongkhon Intharam (about 1 km): a local temple.
