Dogs and cats are welcome. Agoda, Expedia, Hotels.com, Booking.com, Trip.com and BringFido, and the pet communities DogThailand, ThaiPetLove and Lemon8, confirm that pets are welcome, and no source says they are banned.

The standard pet fee is 500 THB per pet per night. Service animals stay free of charge. Some seasonal promotions on local direct bookings have included the first pet free, or 300 to 500 THB for extra pets.

Standard booking listings state a limit of 15 to 20 kg. Large dog breeds must stay in the Duplex Family Suite, and BringFido and pet communities say larger dogs are permitted in eligible units, so confirm before booking.

Up to 2 pets per room, according to Agoda and ThaiPetLove, and some listings allow 3 pets in larger units. Pets are permitted in most room styles, such as the studio chalets and villas.

Pets must be kept on a leash in public areas and must not be left unattended in rooms. Pet bowls and waste bags can be requested, or you can bring your own.

Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.

Description

Onhill Village is an intimate, nature-focused boutique resort with only a handful of freestanding units: studios, treehouses and duplex family suites.

The units are built in a Scandinavian-style minimalist wood and loft design, with wide picture windows, mountain and forest views, private outdoor terraces and en-suite bathrooms. Some units have open-air soaking tubs.

The grounds are set among tall pine trees, gardens and walking paths, and are visited by wildlife such as native hornbills. Guests can enjoy homemade breakfast sets, and order evening barbecue or Thai pork grill (Moo Krata) sets to their terrace.

Neighbourhood

Onhill Village is in the Nong Chok and Pong Ta Long valley, surrounded by farmland, forested hills and quiet rural communities, away from heavy commercial noise.

Famous landmarks nearby:

  • Wat Makut Kiri Wan (about 0.4 km), a temple.
  • Tippimarn Art Gallery (about 1.3 km).
  • Wat Pa Khaoyai Yanasampanno (about 3 km), a temple.
  • Khao Yai National Park boundary and attractions (about 4 to 5 km).
  • Wat Pa Phu Hai Long (about 8.6 km), a temple.

Getting there

The address is Nong Chok, Pong Ta Long, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima 30130. By car from Bangkok, the drive takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Take Phahonyothin Road (Route 1) north towards Saraburi, then merge onto Mittraphap Road (Route 2) towards Pak Chong and Nakhon Ratchasima.

Turn onto Thanarat Road (Route 2090) or one of the rural shortcut routes towards Pong Ta Long, such as Rural Road 3052.

For the final stretch, look for the pink Government Savings Bank (GSB) ATM near the Krua Im Plae restaurant. Turn right into the alley beside Krua Im Plae and follow the paved road for about 1 km, watching for the Onhill Village signs. At the large electric pole on the left, take the right turn down the slope. At the tree roundabout, the entrance is on the right.

The last part of the route has rural patches and limited street lighting, so arriving before sunset is recommended. Free private parking is provided on site.
